  • Chris is the President and Founder of Rejoice Counseling Apostolate, which makes Catholic counseling services more accessible. It operates in greater Houston and San Antonio.

    Chris is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. He earned a dual degree in Pastoral Counseling from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, which consisted of a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy (2006) and M.A. in Pastoral Ministry (2007). He is a Doctor of Ministry Candidate at The Catholic University of America, where he focuses his research in the spiritual formation of couples and families.

    Before beginning Rejoice Counseling, Chris counseled families, couples, and individuals in the Family Life Center at St. Mary’s University and through the Special Education Department and Family Support Center for Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City I.S.D.

    Chris previously served for 8 years as Director of Collegians for Assumption Seminary where he was a Formation Advisor to seminarians and facilitated priestly formation groups on the virtues, Lectio Divina, and John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

    Chris is also the Founding Vice President of the St. John Paul II Foundation, a national Catholic apostolate that proclaims the gospel of life and forms families as intimate communities of love.

    He serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, Nebraska, where he teaches a course on Christian Spirituality and Sexuality in the Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians summer program.
