  • After 20 years of working in the mental health field, I have founded my own practice to focus on providing psychological services that integrate the Catholic faith with sound clinical practice. The main reason for this decision is my ordination as a Deacon in 2012, which has driven my desire to integrate my vocation and profession. Good psychology, that is psychology that integrates faith AND reason, heals the mind and elevates the soul. This means using scientifically validated treatments and tools, following the guidance of scripture, the wisdom of the saints, and the great spiritual traditions of the Church, setting the moral law of the Church as our standards, and communing with the Lord through prayer and the Sacraments.

Please feel free to contact me and we can discuss your needs.  The Lord has blessed me with many unique experiences that may help you.

More About Jason Miller, Ph.D., M.P.A.

I am able to provide many‚ types of assessments: neuropsychological, (dementia, traumatic brain injury, etc.) psychoeducational (learning disability, intellectual giftedness, school readiness, etc.) career & vocational, diagnostic, psycholegal & forensic, developmental, immigration & naturalization, adoption & dependency court, clergy & religious vocation, developmental, workman's compensation, personality, & more.  Furthermore, I provide assessment services in a manner that respects each person's dignity, not just merely as a set of scores.

I am a cognitive-behavioral and behavioral therapist, which is a rational approach completely compatible with our faith.  I utilize these approaches to treat a wide range of of disorders, including anxiety disorders, sexual dysfunctions, sleep disorders, tic disorders, ADHD and other child behavioral disorders, depression, chronic pain, stress, and hypertension. In addition, I provide marital, premarital, and family services.

I offer teletherapy for a variety of issues.  However, teletherapy is not appropriate for those individuals who are troubled by thoughts of self-harm or if risk of serious violence toward others is involved. Please seek treatment in your own geograpical area for those issues, as safety is your primary concern and you will likely need both psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care. I have extensive experience working with the entire lifespan, from infancy to older adulthood. Parental participation is necessary for all minors.  Finally, I am certified by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, which sets a higher standard for education and training than that required by the State of California.
