  • Louise has always felt a tug on her heart to serve others through the ministry of counseling.  Responding to this call, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville.  Louise also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a Concentration in Christian Counseling that accompanies her Master's in Counseling degree. She is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the State of Colorado.

Louise understands that taking that first step to begin counseling can feel scary. Contrary to popular belief, however, meeting with a counselor does not show weakness, but rather displays radical strength! Allowing another person to listen, guide, and direct another during the counseling process takes great courage but bears abundant fruit. Together, Louise and the individual will assess strengths, weaknesses, and obstacles to growth, and together construct creative solutions to reach deeper healing. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help reconstruct thinking patterns and achieve goals.  She also incorporates prayer, scripture, and the wisdom of the saints to the degree the individual feels comfortable.

Louise works with adults, adolescents, and couples. She especially loves working with women of all ages, especially young adult women. She completed an immersion course at the Theology of the Body Institute in Downington, PA and is passionate about integrating the truths of the Catholic faith into her role as a counselor. Louise is a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator and guides engaged and married couples through an eight-week national renowned program designed to heal and strengthen marriages. Apart from her work as a counselor, Louise is a Creighton Model FertilityCare System Practitioner Intern with the Archdiocese of Denver and teaches married couples as well as single women about their fertility and gynecological health.

Regardless of the population or type of problem, Louise views counseling as a means to help every individual achieve abundant life, looking to John 10:10 as the framework:

“I came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly!”

Have you been searching for authentic Christian or Catholic counseling services where your faith can be an integral part of your therapy experience?

You've come to the right place.

At its fundamental core, Two Hearts Counseling is a faith-based practice united with Christ’s mission to care for the afflicted by moving hearts towards healing and freedom through His merciful love.

As a faith-based practice, Two Hearts Counseling integrates sound psychological practice with an understanding of the human person that is rooted in Christian anthropology. This perspective allows for a holistic integration of mind, body and soul while also using empirically proven therapeutic methods. Here you will discover a psychological approach inspired by Scripture, Church teachings and the writings of the saints as well as modern theologians.

Above all, this provides a theoretical framework in which all clients are respected and recognized to possess inherent dignity - regardless of their past choices and struggles in life. Each client can integrate spirituality and prayer into therapy to the degree that they feel comfortable. For some, that may mean opening and closing session in prayer. Others may prefer not to pray in session, but to have a very focused approach on examining issues as they relate to their spiritual life. There is no wrong way to approach your session. You will work together with your therapist to make the counseling office a truly sacred space where healing can occur.

Is having a Christian or Catholic counselor who shares your faith and values important to you?

All of our clinicians on staff are practicing Catholics whose faith serves as the guiding principle of their work as therapists. As such, the services offered at Two Hearts Counseling will alwaysbe in accord with Church doctrine and teachings. Here you will never have to question whether or not you'll be receiving sound counsel, and you can always trust that your faith will be taken seriously.

If you are not Catholic, please know that our therapists also have experience in counseling people of all faith backgrounds. It is our earnest desire to extend Christ's own mission of healing to all who seek it. To date, there are many non-Catholic clients who have chosen Two Hearts Counseling and found the services very beneficial. As such, we are confident that each individual will find Two Hearts Counseling a welcoming, non-judgmental place to journey towards a greater understanding of truth, goodness and beauty.
