This is probably one of the top ten questions we ask of God. You may be praying all the time and not seeing results or things may even seem to get worse. What's up with that?  Shouldn't it be simple: I tell God what I want or need and He takes care of it?  That sounds good on the surface, but that describes more what we'd expect of a mythical genie, than the God of the Universe. 

Think of it, have you ever wanted something really badly, and did everything in your power to get it only to be disappointed? The old adage applies, be careful what you ask for, you just may get it.  God knows what is best for us when we don't always know that.  The bottom line and the heart of prayer is trust in His love and wait with hopeful expectations without worrying so much about the results.  As Padre Pio would say: "Pray, hope and don't worry."

Sometimes we need to learn better how to pray.
