You are surrounded by people but feeling completely alone again, disrespected or unloved. You’re overwhelmed and in crisis mode doubting if things will ever just be ok. It seems like a continuous cycle of struggle followed by moments when you feel better, followed by the same despair from having failed again.  There are racing thoughts and high stress that prevent you from just being happy and feeling normal.  The people that depend on you most need you to be strong, but the problem is hope for change has disappeared and your confidence is shot making you feel destined for a life of pain and struggle.

There is a way out! With over 20 years in the social services field, I specialize in working with clients in crisis due to depression & anxiety to reach immediate stability & long-term peace by resolving fear & past trauma. Utilizing research driven practice, and a traditional Catholic perspective, I help them grow in the knowledge needed for change to take steps of faith to a future hope & joy.

Have faith and believe this is the first step back to health! It won’t be easy but with commitment and a strong will, you will change your life, regain your joy and restore your relationships.

Practice Info

Bio:
My name is Esam Pietras and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of A Foundation of Faith in Ohio. I am a father of several children and a husband to my beautiful wife, Trisha.

My experience is not typical of most counselors but one that, I believe, provides a unique perspective to my clients and the center as a whole. In 2003, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering and have been working as an engineer for the past 20 years. During this time I also sought out different opportunities to provide support to those in need. From 2006-2007 I was a mentor to incarcerated juveniles in Broward County, Florida. I worked in prison ministries from 2008 to 2010 in Fairfax Virginia and from 2010 to 2014 I was a Court Appointed Advocate to neglected and abused youth for CASA. At that point, I decided to pursue my degree in Professional Counseling because I felt I could be more of an impact as a counselor so in 2019 I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters degree in Professional Counseling. As a practicing counselor I’ve worked with clients and their families dealing with addictions, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and crisis.

Over the course of my professional life, I’ve traveled the world, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures domestically and internationally. I’ve spent extended time in Africa, Asia and Europe, as well as domestically in a number of different US states. Through it all I’ve found that there is pain and joy in all of us and each of us has a God given potential that is far beyond what our limited perspective can envision.

More About Esam Pietras, LPC

Opening up this counseling and education center (A Foundation of Faith) has been a dream of mine throughout my professional career and one that I truly cherish now that it has become a reality.  The mission of this center is to bring an opportunity for healing and growth to those that are seeking and open to change. Healing will come in many forms including; overcoming lifelong impediments; healing from trauma; reducing anxiety; overcoming fears; repairing relationships; resolving conflict; or finding peace, acceptance and love for yourself; just to name a few.

A Foundation of Faith builds on the understanding that “faith is the proof of that which cannot be seen” and by taking continued steps of faith we can begin to reach heights that we couldn’t have imagined at the start of the journey.

If you are ready to take steps of faith to find the potential God has waiting for you, I look forward to helping you do that.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity,
but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7
