Mary Jo Faustgen is in private practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with MidWest Center for Personal and Family Development in St. Louis Park, MN.

Mary Jo has over 20 years of extensive experience in the areas of marriage and family issues, mental health, facilitation of groups, and personal enrichment in the Twin Cities, MN area. She works with individuals, couples, and families, and has specialties in anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, anger management, grief, stress management, coping with chronic /terminal medical issues, natural pain management, Catholic/Christian therapy, lifestyle coaching and parenting issues.

She was involved as a small-group facilitator and speaker in Catholic retreats for engaged and married couples for over 20 yrs. She taught Natural Family Planning and "Romance for a Lifetime" Marriage Enrichment Seminars with her husband, Jim for over 10 years.

Previous to becoming a licensed therapist, Mary Jo was a Medical Technologist at the University Of MN Hospital, as well as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University, where she taught in student labs for Clinical Laboratory Medicine, Histology, and Physiology.

Mary Jo has been happily married for over 40 years and has two wonderful adult children.
Hours of Operation
Mondays - Fridays, 10am - 5pm (days and hours may vary)
occ. Saturdays, 10am - 2pm (hours may vary)

Mary Jo is a provider for most insurance plans and most Employee Assistance Plans. Private pay is also available.
Reduced fees are available upon approval by office manager.

More About Mary Jo Faustgen, MA, LMFT

I have been working as a counselor with MidWest Center for Personal and Family Development since 1998. I have been privileged to be a part of this large and ever-expanding organization that has served so many people from the Twin cities area and nearby. 

I took the last 2 years off from my professional practice due to being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I had to undergo many months of hospitalization, chemo, immunotherapy, and finally a bone marrow transplant. I feel so blessed to be in remission, and have witnessed many miracles in my own healing and in my personal life. I give God and His Blessed Mother credit for my healing, and know that they guided the doctors and nurses that have taken care of me. And if God wills it, I will continue to be in practice for a very long time, helping His people to heal and to trust in Him.
