I’m a strong believer in the power of counseling to facilitate greater self-awareness, a positive change and healing in your life. The human experience is complex and can be difficult to navigate on your own sometimes. My approach is to provide a safe, compassionate environment to allow you to express yourself and to collaborate towards growth. I believe that each individual can overcome any struggle, whether it's a bump in the road or an issue that has lasted for several years. You don't have to do this alone.

Mi nombre es Mónica Carolina Ortiz y soy terapista de salud mental. Creo firmemente en el poder de la terapia para facilitar al individuo al conocimiento, crecimiento, y sanación en su vida. La experiencia humana es compleja y a veces puede ser difícil enfrentar las dificultades sin una ayuda profesional. Mi enfoque es crear un ambiente seguro y compasivo para permitir a la persona exprese sus preocupaciones principales. Esto ayudara a que haya una relación terapéutica que colabore hacia el crecimiento y sanación de la persona. Veo a cada persona como un individuo único e irrepetible con una dignidad dada por Dios. ¡Cada individuo tiene las herramientas para superar un obstáculo y me siento privilegiada de poder acompañar a cada persona en este proceso de terapia!

Bio:
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida at a Private Practice called "Love Thyself Wellness Center".

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ave Maria University and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University. I have obtained extensive counseling training working with children, adolescents, adult Individuals, and families in a variety of clinical settings.

At "Love Thyself Wellness Center", we emphasize the mind-body-soul component of the human person. We believe in integrating the Catholic Faith with therapy in order provide a holistic approach.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 10:30am - 5:00pm
