I provide counseling and psychotherapy services to my Catholic clients that incorporate leading counseling techniques with Catholic doctrine and principles. Frustrated with the negative experiences that fellow Catholics have had with some secular psychologists and therapists, I started my private practice in 1996 for the Roman Catholic population in Houston, Texas.

Nick Lopez has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas for over 30 years. Nick incorporates the 2000 year wisdom of the Catholic Church along with today's innovative counseling techniques. Nick had the privilege of being trained by John Gottman and is a Level II Gottman therapist. Nick is also an EMDR trained therapist.
Nick has a BA in psychology and philosophy from the University of St Thomas and a Master's of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University.
Nick and his wife Karen have given together marital communication presentations to over 1000 engaged couples for pre-marriage programs in several parishes.
