Message from Therapist

I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field working in various roles such as community services, case management, crisis services and as a clinician in private practice. I obtained extensive experience working with a wide array of diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, life changes, stress management, life satisfaction, post-traumatic stress disorder, and personality disorders.

I have a passion for working in this field and helping people to live their best life possible. I combine my training in clinical mental health counseling with my Catholic faith and training in Biblical Studies to be able to provide an approach rooted in Catholic Theology. I utilize cognitive behavioral approaches, dialectical behavioral therapy, positive psychology and strengths-based perspective when working with clients. However, I understand that therapy is person centered and will gear my techniques to what works best for you. I am here to help motivate, empower, and encourage growth while accomplishing the goals you have set forth.

More About Andrea Kay, MS-Ed, LMHC

I am licensed and provider of therapy and counseling by Telehealth in Connecticut and New York State.

I am a wife and mother of a growing family who loves the Catholic faith! I have found that there is a void in the world of Catholic Counseling. While there are many competent counselors available, I often see a lack of professionals who not only identify as Catholic, but truly live out their faith. I am hoping to be able to bridge that gap by combining my love for the Catholic faith with my passion for counseling. I will utilize my skills learned through my graduate degree in mental health counseling while also bringing in important aspects of the faith such as prayer, sacraments, community, etc. I am excited to start this journey with you!
