I am a cradle Catholic who has completed his sixth year of Deaconate formation in the Kalamazoo Diocese.  I have extensive counseling experience in working with adolescents (7th grade and above), but also enjoy working with adults, couples, and families.  

It has been my experience that most of our emotional problems occur from a lack of love. While there are certainly biological/psychological issues affecting behavior, the sacraments can also go a long way to healing our emotional wounds.

Please note: You do not have to be a "practicing" Catholic to benefit from my counseling services. I work with and respect all faith traditions and also those who are of a non-faith perspective.  I only apply Catholic/Christian faith-based counseling to those who request it.

Life is all about finding that balance between what we can control and what we can't. I would be happy to listen to you and help you find that balance.

Bio:
I was previously a middle school counselor for over 15 years. I have extensive experience working with teens, parents and their families on a wide range of issues. I also have experience in working with adults/couples struggling with such issues as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
Hours of Operation
In person Monday late afternoon/early evenings and Wednesday mornings at office in Grand Rapids.
* Phone and Teletherapy sessions are also available Tuesday and Thursday.
