Elizabeth Johannes, LCSW, Ph.D has a doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work. She has over 15 years of experience with mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. She has extensive experience in helping individuals develop strategies to change behavior or cope with difficult situations.

I approach my work from a psychodynamic perspective while incorporating some cognitive behavioral and theistic existentialist approaches as well as IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy and the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) Method.
ITR is based on core principles of art, narrative and parts therapies as well as on an understanding of the physiological response to trauma.
I also work work with those suffering from OCD, including scrupulosity, using an Exposure Response Prevention method.
