“What you are is God’s gift to you,
what you become is your gift to God”
Hans Urs von Balthasar

If you are looking for a well-trained, highly qualified psychotherapist who shares your Catholic values and beliefs you have come to the right place!

COVID-19: TELETHERAPY-
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic please keep in mind the following –

TELETHERAPY (online therapy) I use Doxy.me  for these sessions as this site is HIPAA compliant.
All payments can be made through bank transfer via Zelle.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques with your Catholic faith beliefs, in the therapy process, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call or email me.

“Don’t be ashamed to need help.
Like a soldier storming a wall, you have a mission to accomplish.
And if you’ve been wounded and need a comrade to pull you up?

So what?
Marcus Aurelius

Bio:
I started out 40 years ago in a profession that was in its infancy, (addressing psycho/social issues that were affecting people). What has evolved for me has been a fulfilling career of educating and guiding not only my clients but future generations of therapists. As times changed, I witnessed the woman's movement, the advancement of medications that were much more effective in addressing medical conditions (affecting people's level of functioning), along with patterns of thinking that were inaccurate, revisiting the meaning of committed marriage, sexuality, motherhood, fatherhood, not to mention medical advances that have prolonged life and forced us to address quality of life issues, etc... I could go on and on reflecting on what has transpired in the psycho/social world that we have had to work through. But through all these changes, what has remained constant is the recognition that we must address and honor the components of self, which includes the spiritual, the emotional and the physical. While my expertise is in the emotional, without a strong spiritual sense of self and a healthy physical self, obtaining a healthy emotional self will be difficult to achieve.

I am an interactive, cognitive behavior and solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address their personal life challenges. I encourage my clients to be a part of the solution, not the problem, whether I am working with individuals, adolescents, adults, or couples. A significant number of my patients focus on relationship issues, mood disorders (i.e. depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, eating disorders) as well as sexual issues and personal growth.

I am a pragmatic therapist who brings understanding and compassion to each session along with active listening and empathetic understanding.

I also have a considerable amount of experience working with Catholics and Christians looking for a more faith-based approach to counseling.

I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques that offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to achieving.
