Perhaps you feel sad, incapable, overwhelmed or responsible for the hardships you've suffered either personally or between other people?  Is your self-understanding based on how other people think or treat you?  Whatever your struggle, the first step is finding support.  I know asking for help can be hard and may seem to make things worse, like your fears are real.  But let me pause and remind you that your life does not have to be dictated by others or negative feelings.  Finding true freedom in relationships and with yourself is really possible!  You just have to take that first step; in fact, you're already doing it.  Together we can work on relationship issues and develop healthy boundaries to express yourself with confidence.  We will focus on the many parts of you, and how this connects to your identity, relationships, and mental health.  We'll figure out new skills to navigate life and create a plan to help you experience freedom, stability, and peace of mind.

Practice Info

Bio:
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, (LCPC) in the state of Maryland. Currently, I specialize in working with trauma, family of origin issues, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, depression and executive function issues in the format of individual therapy. I mostly see adults and couples, however, I also have experience with teenagers as well. The majority of my post-graduate career has been in private practice. However, during my training years, I've had the privilege of working in a diverse range of settings such as, outpatient community mental health centers, substance use clinics, partial hospitalization programs for adults and adolescents, as well as a psychological testing and counseling center for children and adolescents.

During my time at these facilities, I've gained experience in psycho-educational group counseling, process group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, emotion focused therapy, couples and marital therapy, teaching communication skills and executive function training, working with complex trauma and family dynamics.
