Are you feeling lonely in your relationship?
Are you lacking meaning in your daily life?
Have you been having the same arguments over and over again?
Do you feel disconnected from yourself and/or others?
Are you feeling stuck when it comes to one of your children?
Are you looking for someone to hear your story?

I would love to have the honor of hearing your story as I hold the hope for you until you can pick it back up again. We are given the gift of one another in our marital and family relationships to love and support us through our daily journey. We are part of a system that forms and challenges us. I can help you improve communication, intimacy, and family interaction while working through emotions.

I have great respect for marriage and enjoy working with dating, engaged, and married couples. I also have a heart for single adults looking for meaning in their season. I find EFT, Narrative therapy, and the Gottman method have been transformative in exploring emotions and shared meaning in relationships. I also use 5 Love Languages, SYMBIS, & PREPARE/ENRICH.

With past experience as a school-based therapist, I have witnessed the multiple dynamics between parents, teachers, and kids. I can help youth process emotions and communicate well with peers and family members.

Regardless of your age or relationship status, I want to help you discover meaning right where you are. As a Catholic Christian with a background in theology and ministry, I am able and willing to integrate faith and prayer into therapy at your request.

Bio:
I began studying psychology and religious studies in 2007 and developed a passion for the importance of counseling through a Christian perspective. As an undergraduate at Saint Mary’s College, I earned a Lay Ministry Certificate while also being highly involved in campus ministry at Notre Dame. Studying Psychology, I developed a passion for integrating faith into every aspect of life.

Following undergrad, I served as an Apprentice Catechetical Leader at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Houston, TX through the Echo Faith Formation Leadership Program. Echo is a two-year service-learning program forming faith formation leaders in the academic, professional-ministerial, communal, and spiritual aspects of life. The apprenticeship partners with the Notre Dame graduate theology department, so I earned an M.A. in Theology. As an apprentice, worked with couples and families in the parish setting. I was the coordinator of infant baptism preparation and co-coordinator for RCIA. Through infant baptism, I interacted with many young expecting parents and godparents as they prepared for the birth of their child. Through RCIA, I was someone with whom candidates could share their story and be validated and guided on their journey of faith.

Though I enjoyed ministering to those who walked in the office door, I wanted to improve my ability to help others through life issues by becoming a licensed therapist. In December 2015, I graduated with my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan. I gained experience with women who are homeless or in recovery from addiction at Wheeler Mission Center for Women and Children. I also worked with individuals and families at Family Counseling Associates and in Intensive Outpatient at Gallahue Mental Health Services.

I have also worked in ministry at Guerin Catholic High School and St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church.

I am a member of the Catholic Psychotherapist Association (CPA).
