Message from Therapist

I come from a trauma informed background and I integrate Catholic/Christian approaches to my work with client’s who desire the Divine Healer to be a part of their healing process. Trauma causes deep and lasting effects on the survivor’s thought processes, nervous system, and physical body. Behaviors and reactions of trauma survivors can be seemingly unpredictable, confusing, contradictory and lead to pathologizing diagnosis.

In utilizing a combination of the proper techniques to treat trauma, addressing the effects it has on the nervous system, cognitive thought processes as well as the spiritual and physical implications of trauma, I have seen it is not only possible to heal from trauma but to thrive after surviving it. With the aid of these evidence based techniques, I continue to see my clients gain healing and freedom. It is a desire and joy to help my clients on this healing journey of thriving psychologically, spiritually, and physically.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 12+ years of clinical practice experience offering telehealth. I specialize in treating complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I take an eclectic approach in my counseling practice and use the techniques that work for each client in order to bring harmony to all parts of a person’s internal system.

My primary treatment modalities are Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) therapy through a Catholic anthropological lens and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral techniques (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Biofeedback, Polyvagal Theory techniques and Bibliotherapy to support the therapeutic process.

Clients experiencing issues such as co-dependency, unhealthy coping skills, emotional disturbance, low self-esteem, dissociative disorders, personality disorders, and other symptoms benefit from a combination of techniques I use to strategically and holistically address the areas where they are stuck.
