I have counseled individuals, families, and couples with a variety of treatment needs.  I have coached them through problems related to depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, traumatic events, domestic violence, addiction recovery, eating disorders, and also family stress, parenting, and divorce.

Cultural sensitivity is very important to me as a Catholic Therapist of Middle Eastern Chaldean descent who speaks English, Arabic and Aramaic.

Bernadette Talia (LCSW) has had over 15 years of experience working at East County Mental Health Clinic in San Diego, California.

She began her own private practice in 2009 - founder of Angels of Hope Counseling Services. Bernadette counsels individuals, couples, families, and groups of many cultures dealing with issues of trauma, mood disorders, low self-esteem, anxiety disorders, grief, family conflicts, marriage problems, anger, and addictions.

As a devout Catholic, Bernadette, applies the essential truths of the Catholic faith into the therapeutic process with a variety of widely researched and effective therapeutic approaches to achieve success in her work.

She is passionate about helping clients free themselves from unhealthy patterns and habits, make healthy choices, learn new skills, and make lasting life changes.

Bernadette is a Cofounder of The Chaldean Middle Eastern Social Services (CMSS) in San Diego, CA. She has worked part-time as a Clinical Director at the Chaldean Middle Eastern Social Services.

Chaldeans are a Catholic Christian Ethnic Group originating primarily from Iraq.
