Message from Therapist

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
– Psalm 139:13-14

It’s incredible how God has created us and that we are remarkably made to heal ourselves!

I provide individualized therapy to every unique person, helping you to find new ways to grow, change and connect to yourself and others – utilizing the best of both the Psychology Field and Christian Faith.

I have realized that we all need more understanding, kindness, and acceptance in our lives. I long to support and inspire people to be more present, conscious, and intentional. We can move forward to a fully enlivened life by learning to intentionally stay connected to self, relationships, and community. It is very exciting and uplifting to see people heal, transform, and become fully alive again.

Practice Info

Bio:
I hold licenses as a Marriage and Family Therapist-Supervisor in the State of Texas and the State of Colorado. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and bachelors in Mental Health from Franciscan University, where I also enjoyed studying Theology. My journey in the field started with as a case working serving individuals with severe mental illness and substance abuse. I then worked at Catholic Charities for 4 years where I served diverse populations. The focuses of my work there included women’s issues: women in crisis, pregnancy, postpartum depression, loss of pregnancy, and post-abortion. Working in schools with children and teens in several different therapeutic settings and adults with ranging mental health issues and disorders. I also got to serve at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as their Coordinator for Survivors of Sexual abuse for three years. From there I moved to Denver Colorado in 2017 and went into private practice, focusing on couples, individuals, teens and children. I have now expanded that practice to Texas in the DFW area. Where my experiences with working with Sexual abuse survivors has inspired me to specialize in treating trauma and finding the most effective modalities that lead to healing.

I utilize Brainspotting Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Play Therapy, acceptance therapy and mindfulness-based techniques to help my clients facilitate change. I also incorporate systemic and attachment based approaches. Utilizing these therapeutic methods, I have seen people rediscover themselves and improve their ability to fully engage in their lives. I believe and know that you can do the same. I also really enjoy utilizing my Catholic theology education and bringing in the many fruits that the Church offers us to grow, heal, change and live life to the fullest.
