Dr. Chris oversees the counseling services that Rejoice Counseling Apostolate provides to Catholic parishes and the general public throughout the Greater Houston area and San Antonio. He offers Parish Counseling Services onsite at multiple parishes, where he works with individuals, couples and families. He also serves as the Staff Counselor for St. Mary's Seminary in Houston.

Aside from counseling, Dr. Chris serves as Cofounder and a director on the Board for the St. John Paul II Foundation, a national Catholic apostolate dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of life and forming families as intimate communities of love. He is as an adjunct faculty member of the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, Nebraska, where he at times teaches in the Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians summer program. From 2006-2014 he served on the Formation Faculty of Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, where he was Director of Collegians, a Formation Advisor, and facilitated priestly formation groups on the virtues, Lectio Divina, and St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

Dr. Chris has been involved with ongoing clergy formation efforts that have included giving in-services to priests and deacons, speaking at presbyteral convocations and deacon formation days in various dioceses, cofounding the Shepherd’s Heart initiative for clergy formation, and leading retreats for deacons and their wives. Pastoral topics he has covered at these events have included ministry to couples, spouses, and families; ministering to persons addicted to pornography; spousal prayer; and Ignatian spirituality.
