I work with individuals, couples and families through the many difficulties of this life in order to try to help them find meaning, guidance and restoration through God's grace. I also have years of experience working with parishes and priests in preparing engaged couples for the Sacrament of Marriage.
While using the tools of psychology to gain insight, understanding and clarity into our emotional wounds is extremely helpful, I believe that these wounds are really wounds of the heart and soul. This means they ultimately need the touch of God's grace to truly heal. Because of my background in Catholic theology I feel equipped to assist clients not only with the tools of psychology but also with prayer, meditation, the Sacraments and the entire light of the Catholic Faith to help bring that soul to the Font of Spiritual healing, God Himself.
My office location is at St. Lawrence Martyr Church in Redondo Beach, CA.
Hours: M-F 10am to 8pm; Some Saturdays.

Dan Sheen, LMFT has B.A. in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Through his work as a therapist over the last 8 years, he has helped individuals, couples and families find healing and joy amidst the difficulties of life. He has also prepared hundreds of couples for the Sacrament of Marriage and given workshops that teach life skills.
Before becoming a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, he had been involved in Youth, Young Adult and Parish ministry for almost 3 decades. He is an instructor for the Catherine of Siena Institute and has been a speaker for Dive-In South Bay and many different Catholic groups for the last 20 years on a wide range of topics that range from Catholic apologetics to dealing with depression & anxiety to "the meaning of life".
He loves enjoying God's creation through the outdoors and the beauty of nature. He moved to Southern California from the midwest before high school. He has been married to his wife for over 20 years and is the father of four children.
