Message from Therapist

My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I strive to achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

I strive to integrate each client's spirituality with the therapeutic methods appropriate to the individual's situation.

I offer effective individualized, psychotherapy and counseling in-person at my office location and also offer Telehealth in a HIPAA compliant platform.

I work with couples to improve communication and help teach how to heal the relationship when wounding happens.

Bio:
I am a graduate of St Louis University School of Social Work specializing in Clinical Mental Health. I completed my BSW at University of Missouri-Columbia. I have worked and volunteered in my community in a variety of roles, including volunteering with the Society of St. Vincent dePaul. I noticed a need for faithful mental health providers during my time volunteering and in the Catholic homeschooling community both on line and in person. It was in noticing this need that I decided to focus on Telehealth.

I have completed a year long internship with the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute’s Schiele Clinic serving a diverse population.

I have additional training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, grief counseling, and emotionally focused couples counseling.

More About Deborah Zweifel, LCSW, PMH-C

I provide counseling and therapy to individuals and couples.  My training and experience enables me to offer effective individualized, psychotherapy and counseling in-person or via Telehealth.

I have experience treating a number of mental health difficulties. I can help you explore your unconscious mind and provide a neutral ground to individuals seeking a better understanding of self.  I strive to integrate each client's spirituality with the therapeutic methods appropriate to the individual's situation.

My specialty is grief counseling. Loss and grieving are not just limited to the death of a loved one. Loss of many different types can cause one to get stuck, question one's worldview, and/or doubt their faith. I can provide a safe and faithful space to talk about what you are experiencing and search for solutions together.

I am a certified perinatal mental health provider with additional training in perinatal loss and paternal mental health. I have an understanding of the struggles of fertility (hyperfertility, low fertility, and infertility) and the methods of fertility awareness approved by the Church and the difficulties these can present in marriage and family life.

I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
