Please also note that I do NOT provide couples or marital counseling.

If what you are doing is no longer working, then it's time to do something different. Research shows that for most issues, clients have therapeutic success with multiple approaches and theories. Therefore, my approach integrates different therapeutic styles and techniques. I specialize in spiritual and person-centered therapies, sexual addiction treatment and integrate our Catholic faith into my work when clients are willing. I will help you understand yourself and the world better so you may fully pursue the path that God has called you to.  I will help you have happier relationships, improve communication, build true intimacy and restore trust. And as importantly, help you to find joy in your own precious and unique identity as His beloved child.

When working in the realm of sexual addiction, my main theoretical orientation and tools will be that of Patrick Carnes' Sexual Addiction evidence-based and research-backed approach which is the most rigorous available and has been compared to a "second master's degree."

I have studied and worked in mental health and in domestic and international human services since 2001.  I will provide a safe and sacred place for you in which to explore your needs, frustrations, fears and as importantly your joys and successes!

Practice Info

Bio:
I graduated summa cum laude from Seattle University in 2004 with a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations. As a part of that degree program, I spent time studying in Grenoble, France earning my French minor, and in Zambia, Africa studying international development. I then worked overseas as a humanitarian worker performing refugee processing in 7 West and Central African countries.

In 2014, I graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA with a Master of Arts in Psychology. In my internship, I worked in a private practice environment seeing a wide variety of ages, problems and back grounds including couples, and saw clients with active psychosis. In my work there I provided psychotherapy and diagnosis.

My post-graduate work experience consists of social services and crisis services work with the Department of Children and Family Services working with abused and neglected children and their parents. My social service and crisis services work continued in long-term care working with the co-morbid chronically addicted, mentally ill and geriatric populations. For the past several years I have worked in several psychiatric hospitals and area emergency rooms as a consultant in psychiatric assessment and triage or placement.

My current expertise and/or interests are in Sexual Addiction, Trauma therapy and healing prayer.

I look forward to sharing this part of your life's journey with you.
