I have 25 years of clinical experience working with couples, families, teens, school age children and adults. I believe my work has greatly contributed to enhancing the lives of my clients. I utilize a strength-based approach, which helps families to see beyond the problem and see opportunities for change. I strongly believe in building on family strengths to improve relationships and family functioning. I provide consultation and parent education designed to empower, educate and support parents in developing effective parenting strategies. I practice Gottman Method Couple Counseling and really enjoy working with couples. I see school age children and teens, and consult with parents to be more effective with their children. Many of the kids I work with have behavioral, academic, social, and emotional issues.
I was on the board of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association from 2013-2020 serving as President for one year and Treasurer for the other years. I have been teaching Pastoral Psychology and Pastoral Marriage Counseling at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado since 2008 and love it. I take many referrals from priests in the area.
