Welcome and God bless you! My name is Jeff Lambert and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Providing therapy and counseling services exclusively via Telehealth to Florida residents.
I have been working in the field of mental health as a therapist for over 15 years. I have worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, alcohol/drug, and crisis. I have counseled individuals with issues ranging from minor life stressors to severe, persistent mental illness and virtually everything in-between. I have a wealth of experience and would love to put my expertise to work for you.
My counseling style is based primarily on two approaches: Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I place a strong emphasis on rapport building and the therapeutic relationship. I believe that, without the foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance between counselor and client, significant change is unlikely or, at least, harder to achieve.
I am a practicing, devout Catholic and, as such, incorporate prayer and knowledge of the Faith into my sessions if the client so desires. I went to Ave Maria University and Franciscan University of Steubenville for my Bachelors and Masters degrees respectively. I also studied for the priesthood for 2 years.
