Message from Therapist

I provide counseling to people of all ages - Adult Individuals, Children, Teenagers, and Families. I help my clients to move toward personal and mental wholeness by applying counseling with regard to their Catholic faith beliefs.

For general therapy, I apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Virginia Satir model of therapy for a variety of issues to help clients work toward wholeness and healing.

I have extensive training in the use of various Play Therapy modalities. Play Therapy is not only useful in therapy for children and in Family Therapy, but also useful with Adult Individuals in helping to work through issues from childhood and in learning how to communicate better in their personal relationships.

Contact me for more information about my counseling services or to schedule an appointment. I look forward to your call.

Practice Info

Bio:
I serve clients of all ages, families, children, and individuals. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, Virginia Satir model, and Choice Theory.

For children aged 3 and up, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy. I am trained in the use of various play therapy modalities including sandtray, art, and puppets.

Play therapy is useful for clients of ages and is especially helpful for people who have had traumatic childhood experiences.

I was a hospice volunteer for ten years and worked as a patient advocate (prior to obtaining my MFT degree). Also have experience working with children's bereavement and with grieving adults.

I am a lifelong, faithful Catholic and in active ministry in my parish church.

More About Jeanne Molloy, MS, LMFT

Virginia Satir Model:

A notable American author and psychotherapist, Virginia Satir is considered the mother of family therapy for her pioneering work in how to treat individuals seeking help. Her work included a new approach to therapy that involved treating not only one individual, but all individuals involved in the family.

The Satir Method

Known more commonly as Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, this method was designed to improve the connections between family members to treat individuals. The family unit is seen as a whole instead of just as a sum of its parts, and is treated based on the problems lying underneath the behaviors of each family member and how they impact all other members.

I have extensive training in the use of various Play Therapy modalities. Play Therapy is not only useful in therapy for children and in Family Therapy, but also useful with Adult Individuals in helping to work through issues from childhood and in learning how to communicate better in their personal relationships.
