With over 25 years of experience, I offer individual psychotherapy and couples counseling for pre-marital and marriage to my Catholic clients who want their Catholic faith to be honored and valued in the therapeutic healing process.  God longs for us to live in peace and joy, but often we are limited by variables that seem beyond our understanding or are too frightening to face.

Individual psychotherapy enables us to experience the wholeness and interior freedom that the Lord longs to give us. So often our wounds prevent us from understanding our motives and behavior that injure us even more deeply, often hurting relationships with other as well. We continue in the same destructive cycles without the insights and tools to make changes that bring life and peace. Without prayer, we are even more limited. 

Likewise, married couples can find healing for their marriage, if they are willing to work at their relationship through the self-awareness and tools they receive in therapy.  Often couples sincerely want healing, but without help their efforts end in a cycle of disappointment and frustration--or worse--a feeling of mistrust and hopelessness that their marital relationship can ever be fulfilling and loving. It's essential to come to understand the variables that are negatively affecting the marriage, whether it is wounds from prior to the marriage, wounds during the marriage, conflict in values, or ways of behaving, relating, and communicating that are damaging to love relationships. Whatever the issues may be, after many years of working with married couples, I am convinced that a marriage can find healing and happiness, if couples are willing to work on their own issues and willing to learn life-giving ways of speaking and behaving toward each other.
