TIRED OF ENDURING THE EMOTIONAL DISTRESS IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

You try to be the best partner for your spouse, but they always find fault in you, criticizing you no matter what you do. It seems like you are never good enough. You feel disconnected from your partner and alone in this relationship. It seems like you cannot rely on your spouse because your partner doesn't understand the emotional distress you are experiencing.

You both end up fighting a lot which usually turns into days of silent treatment. You feel like walking on thin ice and tip-toeing around each other. The tension between the two of you is palpable. You are really upset and very sad. You wonder, “How could we end up like this?”  When you get triggered, your heart is racing, your body gets warm, you have a big knot in your stomach, and you feel nauseous. You cannot stand this anymore. You know that this is not right. You have been praying for this, and you know that you need another person with objective and trained eyes who could really understand and help you and your spouse through this.

MY NAME IS KARTIKA, AND I CAN HELP

I've been helping married, engaged, or dating couples who are on their wits’ end from trying to figure out what they have done wrong.   My clients experience a change in their relationship over their time in therapy, how they understand each other, how to share their needs and longings, and how to offer and receive comfort. They feel good about themselves and their relationship.

My clients vary in their relationships. Some have been married for 30+ years, some are newlyweds, and some are engaged/dating couples. We meet weekly and use every therapy session effectively - customized to each client's unique situation. My clients experience the changes they desire in the session as they are processing the verbal and non-verbal language they have been using to communicate and how they trigger each other and push each other away. They are learning about their partner and themselves - their emotions, why they do what they do, and their unmet needs.

THE MEASUREMENT

You know the therapy works when you can identify the negative cycle you get stuck in, you feel safe to share your vulnerability with your partner, and ask for your specific emotional need from them. Your partner, likewise, can respond with comfort, care, and reassurance. You feel loved, understood, and connected with your partner, knowing that your partner is there to catch you when you fall and still loves you. Your partner, once again, becomes your safe haven and source of joy. Usually, couples notice the significant change in 8-10 sessions and complete the treatment in 20-30 sessions.

If you and your partner are ready to stop the negative cycle and start enjoying each other and your relationship, contact me for a FREE 20-minute video consultation. I invite you to discover how therapy with a plan, the right therapist, and the grace of God, can make a difference in your relationship. I look forward to hearing from you.
