Message from Therapist

Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to consider whether I may be a good therapy fit for you. I’m honored to be able to assist my clients through their times of distress to reach a place of stability despite the tempests surrounding them.

I am a Licensed Psychologist practicing in McKinney. I primarily provide individual counseling with adults, but I’m happy to work with couples also. As a psychologist, I help clients determine the areas of concern in most need of therapeutic attention, and work with clients to find solutions that work in the context of their real lives.

Bio:
After completing a B.A. (2000) and M.A. (2001) in philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, I began working for six years as a youth minister in the Dallas Diocese, alongside teaching philosophy as an adjunct professor at local colleges. Throughout this time, I was blessed to work with many incredible adolescents and young adults, discovering an aptitude for helping individuals during the rough patches in their lives.

I returned to graduate studies in 2008, completing an M.A. (2011) and a Ph.D. (2015) in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. My therapeutic training included working at a variety of settings, including college mental health counseling, community clinic and private practice settings, and a formal internship at Santé Center for Healing, a residential addictions facility. After completing my M.A., I’ve taught a wide range of psychology courses on the college and university level, researched and published on a variety of topics in psychology, and also worked in private practice.

As a husband and father of a large family, I have a wealth of personal experience related to married life that I draw upon in my work. The Providence of God and my Catholic faith are the foundation upon which my life and work rests.
