Message from Therapist

Welcome!

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in practice since 2006 and my Catholic faith is fundamental to who I am as a person. I strive to provide a place of safety, compassion, and growth and have a secret ingredient I use in therapy- I help foster hope. I believe that there is goodness, beauty, and incredible value at the core of every individual, as well as opportunities for healing and change.

My approach is collaborative and holistic, guided by empirically-validated treatment. People often come see me to help with issues like worry, trauma, stress, finding meaning and purpose, mood challenges, coping with significant health issues, managing home/work balance, and bereavement. I also specialize in serving those in religious roles, those dealing with the loss of a loved one by suicide, and adolescent girls and young adults launching into new opportunities. Two primary aims I have for my clients coming to treatment are to build a strong, safe relationship/environment and engender hope. I also strive to remain focused on the specific goals each client brings to the session. Ultimately, I want to work myself out of a job with each person I see so that they can experience healing and growth.

Psychotherapy can positively impact life stressors, especially those which seem insurmountable. It is a unique, joint opportunity to look at how and why you think, feel, and act the way you do in a safe, confidential setting. In turn, you can develop wise, practical solutions for meaningful and even beautiful living. Foundationally, my aim is to help you live in the knowledge that you are Beloved and healing is possible.

Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
Matthew 11:28-30

“Hope has two beautiful daughters;
their names are Anger and Courage.
Anger at the way things are,
and Courage to see that they do not remain as they are.”
― St. Augustine of Hippo
