My name is Lorrie Saldivar.  I assist individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, or are wishing to address a previous or recent trauma. I also work with loved ones of someone in active addiction and those with attachment trauma.

I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and approved Consultant. I use EMDR Therapy to help individuals process trauma, reduce anxiety, and desensitize triggers. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) from a Catholic perspective.

I provide bilingual services in English and Spanish.

Bio:
I received my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.

Have worked with those in recovery since 2011 both in residential and intensive outpatient settings. I have served within church settings both as an employee and volunteer in working with adolescents and young adults and their families with a wide range of issues, including those struggling with unplanned pregnancies. These experiences allow me to guide persons to appropriate church and community resources.

I have extensive experience helping those seeking recovery and thus can help support and guide family members work through codependency issues as well as deciphering between supporting the loved one versus enabling them.

I have a passion for helping the whole person heal. I use a person-centered/solution focused, attachment and holistic approach, including prayer if requested, to bring healing to the whole person - emotionally,  psychologically, and spiritually.

My goal is to help you reach your goal. I use an attachment focused holistic approach, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Inner Healing Prayer. I consider mental health intricately connected with physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Therefore, I will work to understand what is going on in your life, where you are today and where you would like to be soon. Then together we will work to reach your goal(s).

I offer private counseling to clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and intensive basis. In general, therapy is most effective and goals are met most quickly when we meet regularly.  Appointments are scheduled Tuesday thru Thursday.

I am also an EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association) Certified EMDR Therapist and an approved Consultant.
