Message from Therapist

Therapy is a gift. It has helped me through different periods of my life. Identifying who God created us to be, where our attachments in life come from, and how we learn to persevere through difficult times to find lasting joy is essential to helping us move through life. I would be honored to sit and hold space for your story and walk with you as you seek repair and restoration for your life.

Spes Et Fortitudo (Latin for Hope and Courage) Counseling believes in walking with you to navigate life's challenges with hope, courage, and resilience. I am dedicated to providing you with support and guidance in your counseling journey.

Whether you're seeking personal growth, overcoming obstacles, or simply looking for a listening ear, I am here to sit with you in your story. Your journey towards healing and self-discovery starts here, where your story matters most.

Let me assist you in crafting a path toward greater well-being and mental health. Together, we can forge a brighter future filled with hope and courage. Your story is unique, and I am here to honor and nurture it every step of the way.

Practice Info

Bio:
I hold degrees from Divine Mercy University (M.S., Clinical Mental Health Counseling), Boston College (M.Ed., Curriculum and Instruction), and Arizona State University (B.A., Special Education). I am a certified traumatologist, EMDR-trained, and EFT-informed clinical mental health counselor. I practice from the premise that each of us is made in the image and likeness of God, and we are loved by Him unconditionally.

I am a member of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association and Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, international.

I am the sole owner of my private practice: Spes et Fortitudo Counseling, PLLC.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the state of Texas and under the expert supervision of Fredericka Vyvlecka, LPC-S, Ph.D.

Before entering the mental health field, I was at home with my children for 12 years full-time and worked part-time as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments serving ages 0-99 in private homes, residential, non-profit, and public school settings.

I am a single mother of five children ages 20-12 and a widow; I was married for 17 years before losing my spouse unexpectedly.
