Bio:
Matthew Sciba is a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in the Nicolosi tradition of Reintegrative Therapy. This method is used with the belief that addiction disorders can be treated more effectively, more gently, and faster than conventional psychotherapy and the traditional cognitive-behavioral approaches. These new approaches have resulted in greater feeling of acceptance, confidence, and freedom, as well as healthier sense of self.

Matthew received his training from world-renowned Marriage & Family Therapist, David Pickup, a protégé of the late Dr. Joseph Nicoloi and an expert in the field of Sexual and Identity Issues.

More About Matthew Sciba, M.Ed, LPC

Serving individuals suffering from a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm behaviors, childhood trauma, PTSD, compulsions, relationship issues, eating disorders, overeating, alcohol abuse, and drug addiction.

Helping men and women overcome sexual and identity issues including but not limited to harmful psychological and emotional effects of childhood sexual abuse, pornography addiction, masturbation compulsion, sexual addiction, unwanted same-sex attraction, gender dysphoria, autogynophilia, and fetishes.

Many people struggle with immense feelings of guilt and shame that started from emotional wounds in childhood. The good thing is you don't have to live with these feelings forever. Healing is possible! Through the use of highly-specialized tools like Image Transformation Therapy, the individual is able to clear away the feelings of shame and guilt through breathing and visualization. With the use of tools like Image Transformation Therapy and Reintegrative Therapy help to resolve the wounds that underlie the sexual and identity issues of unwanted homosexual feelings and gender dysphoria so the individual is able to feel more authentically connected with themselves.

Image Transformation Therapy - Originally developed for use in treating PTSD in combat veterans, ImTT has become a cutting-edge tool in healing the wounds that underlie any addiction so that the need for the addiction diminishes. A great many clients report feeling more like their authentic selves, lighter in their body, more relaxed, better able to navigate social situations, feeling like they don't have to carry that weight anymore.

The fantastic thing about ImTT is you don't have to relive the painful memories. One recent client remarked that his favorite part of therapy was that he was able to overcome the pain of abuse without having to relive it or recount it in any detail, "I feel like it's something that happened in the past. I can let go of it. I can remember that it happened, but I don't have any feeling about it."
