Message from Therapist

Hi there, I'm Mercy.

I am a proud Christian (Catholic) and am honored to work with clients from all walks of life. Choosing healing is a journey that lends meaning and direction to our lives. Foundational principals of the Church teach us, at an early age, many primary tools that grant purpose and direction in our lives. Applying those strengths to therapeutic techinques tailored to a client's individual needs is an important part of the healing process. It is an honor to witness others' testimonies and assist in their growth with goodness and grace.

Practice Info

Bio:
I have over 27 years of experience working in various fields within the scope of psychology. I have worked with foster/adoptive parents and children. Social service work with Prevail (previously known as The Women's Center), various volunteer groups, community organizations, clinics, treatment centers, group homes within San Joaquin county, San Diego county, Sacramento county, and more. I bring that level of experience and offer that knowledge base when relevant to our sessions. I have been both a client and a therapist.

As a therapist, my job is to hold space for you; space to calm the storm, room to communicate with your commitment to self, and freedom to recognize the courage it took to get this far. The session's tone is often led by deep breathing to center and prepare us for the work to be done. This type of preparation allows us to take a moment to reflect and think on each topic. Therapy is hard work. No magic here. In session, we collaboratively seek to find that peaceful equilibrium. We explore mindfulness training (DBT), behavior modification (CBT), emotional regulation techniques, and consistent check-ins to monitor our progress.

More About Mercy Fausto, LMFT

Clarity 1:1 Counseling

I started my private practice over 6 months ago and work closely with my husband at home and at the office to manage our case load and serve our community.

My approach:

I’m here to help with unconditional positive regard and solution-focused treatment options as we build our plan together.

My focus:

I have worked with clients as young as 2 years old to 50+. Some clients appreciate play, while others appreciate art, and we all learn a little psychoeducational to help our toolbox grow.

Being a therapist is a calling and healing is a journey. This journey lends experience, wisdom, considerate change, and ultimately growth for both the client and the therapist. I am a lifetime learner of people (myself included).
