Peace be with you! How may I be of service to you? If you're willing to work on changing your self, I'm willing to work with you. In sessions I offer my consistent, calm, non-anxious presence so that you can have the space to work out new options for stuck life problems. I will always invite forward movement and won't ever "just listen". But I will pace with you. I have seen many lives transformed when a person steps up to bat to participate in the change, engaging their Catholic faith and good solid psychology as the starting point.

I offer my expertise in coaching through Bowen Family Systems, which is a different way of thinking that many find useful towards achieving emotional transformation and lasting change.

"Theory tells you where you're going. You're much less likely to govern your course by what feels right, governed by the demands of the moment, rather than what you know to be right. So, theory is a blueprint to guide you," said Dr. Murray Bowen. I will lead with solid theory and I won't waste your time. I also offer EMDR.

I primarily work with individual adults and with families. I am skilled in resourcing families in tough situations. I coach parents facing diverse challenges ranging anywhere from withdrawn or rebellious teens to anxious children, from parental conflict to just feeling plain stuck as a family.

Having over ten years of cumulative experience in the mental health field, I also provide treatment for grief and intense forms of anxiety and depression. I am EMDR trained and thus able to incorporate healing from moments of crisis or traumatic events.

Additionally, I work at a counseling center that prioritizes the integration of clinical counseling theory and theology and am privileged to be able to share such an integrated approach with anyone who requests it.

Bio:
I am a Catholic Family Therapist trained in Bowen Family Systems Therapy and have ten years of experience in clinical casework post graduate school serving individuals and families in private practice, and over ten years of experience in the mental health field. I have received two years of individual personal bi-weekly training in Bowen theory, as well as approximately two years of group training. I also completed a year-long Continuing Studies program for professionals at the Bowen Center in Washington, DC and a year in the Post-Graduate Program.

Additionally, since 2018 I have held the position of the Bowen Theory Group trainer at New Life Counseling Center wherein I coach LPC-Associates and graduate students in the theory.

I became EMDR Certified in September of 2020 and since then have incorporated EMDR into my practice from a systems perspective.
