Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to browse my profile page! Making the decision to pursue therapy can be an intimidating prospect for many people (kids and adults alike) especially if this will be your first-time pursuing therapy or if past experiences have left you disappointed. My intention is for this webpage to introduce you to my practice, provide you with an overview about the modalities I am extensively trained in, the populations I specialize in working with and to help you decide if you or your child would be a good fit for services with me.

For more information, please visit my website at www.immaculateheartcounseling.com or schedule a free phone consultation at https://robbie-griffin.clientsecure.me to learn more about the services I provide both in-person and via telehealth.

Ad maiorem Dei gloriam inque hominum salutem

More About Robbie Griffin, MA, LPC

I decided to become a mental health professional in large part due to my own personal experiences growing up. From early childhood, through adolescence and even into young adulthood I saw the good, the bad and the ugly (from the client's perspective) when it came to working with those in the mental health field. Despite these challenges however, it only took one positive (albeit life-changing) experience for me as a client before I knew I wanted to devote my life towards walking with others in helping them find the growth, healing and change they are looking for in their own lives.

After completing a short stint in seminary for the Diocese of Phoenix in 2011-2012, I decided to pursue and later obtained my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2017. I have since worked in a variety of settings providing group, individual, marriage and family therapy services to both youth and adults in-person and via telehealth. I am a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA and use this modality often in my practice based on the needs and preferences of my clients.

Additionally, while I am qualified to cover a vast range of issues (many of which are not included on this profile), my specialties are largely focused on the following issues:

- Trauma
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Panic
- Phobias
- OCD
- Grief/Loss
- Spiritual/religious crises
- Gender identity issues &
- Sexual compulsions including but not limited to:
* Sexual misbehavior
* Unwanted sexual attractions
* Sex and pornography addiction

I know what it is like to be a patient or concerned family member looking for good help. If you think we might not be a good fit but are still looking for services with another provider, then do not hesitate to reach out with a call or email and I’d be more than happy to speak with and provide you with a list of referrals to other outstanding Catholic mental health professionals who might be able to help satisfy your needs.

For more information, contact me via phone or email to schedule your free 15-minute consultation and I will do my best to address your needs and concerns.
