I provide Christ-centered professional counseling to Individuals, Couples, and Families who seek resolution on a wide range of emotional and relational issues. I specialize with couples counseling. I also have extensive experience in treating depression, anxiety, codependence and specialized training in treating PTSD.

Bio:
Steve Augustus is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. He received his Masters in Professional Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Schaumburg, IL. Steve has extensive life experiences including jobs from steel worker to chemist and overcoming personal and family losses.

Steve is a Gottman Level 3b Consultation trained therapist in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. He has volunteered at the National Runaway Switchboard, was a big brother for a child for 8 years through the Big Brother/Big Sisters of Lake County and was the founding chairman of the BIGS volunteer network there. He has been a lay minister through his church since 1992.
