 I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience caring for children, adolescents, and adult individuals, couples, and families.

I provide counseling for issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder as well as helping couples and individuals with parenting issues, grief/loss, marital communication/conflict and life transitions.  I offer help and hope by empowering individuals and families to actively manage their health and well-being with the integration of the principles of the Catholic faith and the science of psychology.

Bio:
Tim Shininger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He received his Master of Guidance and Counseling from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1993. He completed post-graduate studies in marriage and family therapy at the Family Therapy Training Institute of Milwaukee in 1995.

Tim is the Clinical Director and Owner of Comprehensive Counseling Services in Wisconsin. He uses cognitive behavioral and systemic approaches in treatment.

In addition to his clinical experience, Tim has several years of administrative experience. Prior to operating Comprehensive Counseling Services, Tim served as Director of Outpatient Clinical Services at Columbia St. Mary's. He is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy. Tim has been a regular guest on the "On Call" Show with Relevant Radio (a Catholic talk radio network) since 2006.
