I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a practicing Catholic in the Diocese of Dallas. Most of my current clients are Catholics who want their faith respected in counseling. They want someone who realizes the importance of Catholic teaching as a way of life. I will always respect the teachings of Christ and his church in our counseling sessions.

I am very honored to have worked with so many people over the years. For someone to come into my office and present me with the honor of sharing their story and trusting in me to help them find perspective, is humbling.

I named my practice Epiphany Counseling because an epiphany is a pinnacle moment in counseling. If you feel stuck, if you feel like there are no other options, if you just need some clarity, counseling can help provide a sense of hope and purpose.

I found a cup at the store years ago that I keep in my office that says "Half Empty or Half Full". I think this is a very Catholic way of thinking. Why? We are not always in control of the situation we are presented in life through our marriages, jobs, kids, or even sickness and death. We are always in control of our choices and attitudes. St Maximillian Kolbe was a great example of this reality. He had few choices while being imprisoned in the concentration camp but he made the best of what few he had and his attitude in everything he did. It is how he lived his faith.

Don’t be imprisoned in your life. Allow me to help you so that you may live your life and your faith more joyfully.

Feel free to call me to ask any questions at: (469) 556-8336

Bio:
I received my undergraduate from Texas A&M University in 1993.
I spent 11 years as the youth minister of a church running a successful teen program in the Diocese of Dallas. During this time, counseling teens became my passion. Helping them through life issues with God as the foundation brought me a true sense of joy.

I went back to school for my Masters and graduated from Amberton University in 2004 with a Masters in Counseling.

I started my counseling career at Crossroads Family Services, a not for profit counseling agency. I was hired as the director of At- risk Youth Prevention Services. I was in charge of diversionary programs for teens with truancy, drug and alcohol issues.

We also ran a family program for teens and parents called The First Offender Program. This was for kids who had their first minor legal offense, and it took the offense off their record. We worked closely with city law enforcement on these programs.

During this time, I also had the blessing of doing individual counseling as well as family and marriage counseling for members of the community. By the time I left the agency, I had completed my LPC-Supervisor credentials and was the Clinical Director at the agency for several years.

I opened "Epiphany Counseling", my private practice, while working at the agency in 2008. My private practice integrates Christian faith-based beliefs with counseling techniques.

I have been happily married for over 20 years with several kids, active in the Pro-Life ministry in our diocese, as well involved with the parish-based marriage preparation program. I also volunteer as a Catechist at our parish.

Counseling is a very personal thing and you need to feel you are in a safe trusted environment with your counselor. Feel free to contact me by phone with any questions to ease your mind.
