Message from Therapist

Making the decision to make a change and begin therapy is often filled with various emotions ranging from excitement and joy to fear and anxiety. In addition, navigating which therapist to choose in a fallen world can be confusing and frustrating. Like you, I faced adversity in my life and decided to make a change. By God's love and grace, I have been able to heal from my past, make changes, and live a life filled with meaning and purpose in serving Jesus. I believe you can not give what you do not have. For this reason, I am here to be a vessel for God to work.  My hope is God will do for you what he has done for me.

To Jesus through Mary,
Billy

Practice Info

Bio:
I am humbled to be trusted with people's stories and to collaborate with individuals and families to unlock their potential and become who God created them to be. I work with all ages, but I specialize in treating adolescents (ages 12-19) using individual, family, and group therapy.

I encourage all clients to explore what gives their life meaning and fulfillment, integrating virtue development and focusing on telling the truth, taking responsibility, and practicing forgiveness. My philosophy of care focuses on skill development based on evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Developmental Psychology, Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, and spirituality. I offer Catholic spirituality integration into therapy sessions at the client's request.

I have several years of experience working with various cultures and belief systems in providing individual, group, and family therapy. I developed clinical skills and a thorough understanding of treating individuals with co-occurring disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, attachment disorders, substance use disorders, oppositional defiance disorder, and obsessive/compulsive disorders.

More About Billy Graczyk, MPS, LPCC, LADC

Our Catholic Mission

Our Lady of Good Counsel Therapy supports individuals and their families facing challenges related to mental health and/or addiction. We strive to create a nurturing environment that fosters trust and facilitates healing, empowering individuals to realize their full potential and embrace the unique individuals God intended them to be.

Grounded in Catholic Philosophy

When caring for people with mental health and/or addiction issues, many professionals focus on symptom relief and focus most of the attention of care on the body. Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLCG) Therapy acknowledges the importance of the body in the process but is unique in providing care to parts of the person that we can’t see such as the will, memory, imagination, thoughts, and emotions. OLGC Therapy aims at harmonizing the body and soul integration based on a Catholic understanding of human development, philosophy, and psychology in union with current evidence-based practices, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Developmental Psychology. OLGC Therapy also emphasizes virtue development and discovering what gives the person’s life meaning and purpose.
